How bold thinking and design made a towering impression


CorVel provides innovative risk management solutions for the workers’ compensation, auto, health and disability management industries. Headquartered in Irvine, California, the company serves over 2,000 clients nationwide and is the only independent, publicly traded claims management and cost containment provider in the U.S.


It’s not everyday that your stock symbol turns 30. For CorVel, that moment arrived in 2021 after three decades on Nasdaq as CRVL. In honor of this impressive achievement, CorVel was invited to celebrate with a projected display on the seven-story-tall Nasdaq Tower in Times Square. They turned to Rhythm to make a lasting impression at one of the most photographed places in the world.

A big display calls for bold thinking. So we bent a few rules.

Rhythm’s design team added vibrant color variations and art treatments to CorVel’s traditional “C” icon.

A “count up” timer along with succinct and informative messaging were created to grab attention at street level.

And the juxtaposition between light and dark backgrounds further enhanced the 70-foot projection.

The result? A big statement in the Big Apple.

It takes something special to stand out amongst a sea of attention-seeking brands in New York’s Time Square. Fortunately, the vibrant colors and “count up” messaging on CorVel’s Nasdaq display made an eye-catching statement in the heart of Gotham.

Milestone accomplishments—like 30 years as a publicly-traded company—don’t come along very often. When they do, it’s important to make these rare occasions unforgettable. We were excited and honored to have played a part in CorVel’s Nasdaq anniversary celebration and thrilled that their big display made a big impression in the Big Apple.
