To Teach is to Learn

I have always been a firm believer that we never stop learning. To close the door on education is a disservice to all. In the digital marketing arena, things are changing every day. There are new technologies to learn, new platforms to explore, and overall advancements in marketing trends that we need to stay on top of. Sometimes changes in the digital space come at a pace that can be overwhelming. When you think you just got something down, something new replaces it. When you are just getting used to a new technology or social platform, a new one pops up. When you were just feeling comfortable with a software application and all its functionality and features, a new version is released. Yes, I have dealt with my fair share of headaches. But, when it comes down to it, many of these new technologies and platforms present new and exciting opportunities for our clients. By learning we are expanding our horizons and are able to offer something more.

In the coming weeks, I have the pleasure to speak to a couple different organizations  on topics related to digital marketing. As grueling as it is to find the time to put together presentations for these engagements, I always consider the reward for the investment. After every speaking opportunity or training event I conduct, I feel extremely gratified. Not only did I help others understand what it is we do at Rhythm Interactive, but I always learn something from these teaching opportunities. I learn about what other industries are doing when it comes to marketing, I learn about new trends in the marketplace and I learn from audience questions. While teaching, I am learning and it really is stimulating.
