Rhythm Interactive Celebrates 18 Years

Irvine, CA -- Jan. 17, 2014

The month of January represents 18 years of service for Rhythm Interactive. The Irvine-based digital marketing agency opened its doors back in 1996 as RhythmNet.com and has evolved along the way to become one of Southern California’s leading agencies focused on integrated marketing with a digital core.

Over the past 18 years, Rhythm Interactive has grown not only in size, but has also strengthened their skill set and enhanced their service offerings to thrive in an ever-evolving technology-driven business landscape. The needs of clients and new technologies are constantly changing and Rhythm Interactive has continuously approached these changes with optimism, desiring to always create engaging user experiences that help brands achieve their goals.

A Little Rhythm History January 1996:

Craig Cooke and Peter Bohenek Launch RhythmNet.com Founded in the early days of the Internet, RhythmNet.com started by developing online music websites to promote and sell independent music. The Internet was really in its infancy and many consumers were still uncomfortable with the whole www-thing and even more apprehensive to make purchases over the Internet. While the music-based business really didn’t take off like the founders had hoped it would, many businesses approached RhythmNet.com to design, build and manage their websites.

Through the dot-com era and developing more than 100 websites, RhythmNet expanded its capabilities into other creative areas such as media manufacturing and packaging. The company also launched a division that developed a proprietary, Rich Internet Application technology (Point-Click Technology) years before apps skyrocketed in popularity.

2004: RhythmNet Rebrands to Rhythm Interactive

To better address client needs, RhythmNet transformed into Rhythm Interactive, an interactive marketing and online advertising agency. As an interactive agency, Rhythm Interactive focused on helping companies leverage the digital domain to attract new clients, build brands and enhance customer relationships.

2009: Rhythm Interactive Acquires a New Home

Despite the downward economic spiral, Rhythm Interactive moved its team into a new building. At the height of the credit crunch, when banks had practically frozen lending, Rhythm Interactive qualified and obtained financing to purchase their current 6,000 sq. ft. office building in Irvine.

2011 to Present:

Growth, Growth and Even More Growth In 2011, the demand for high-quality, digital marketing technologies allowed Rhythm Interactive to double in size from 11 employees to 22. The demand for digital technology and mobile marketing solutions continued to fuel growth for Rhythm with more hiring taking place throughout 2012 and 2013. Rhythm Interactive secured many new accounts and also won numerous awards including being listed on the Inc. 500/5000 Fastest Growing Private American Companies list and being featured as a Best Place to Work in Orange County by Orange County Business Journal & Best Companies Group.

Rhythm Interactive is poised for future growth and expansion beyond 2014. The company is on track to having its best year ever in revenues and growth in experienced, knowledgeable and talented staff. Currently Rhythm Interactive has close to 40 employees is still hiring.

"The Rhythm journey has been an exciting one to say the least,” said Rhythm CEO Craig Cooke." Like many businesses, we have weathered a few storms along the way, but I firmly believe that it’s our passion for our clients’ success that has always helped us prevail and become stronger. We have a solid team in place and are well-positioned for future growth. Here’s to another 18 plus," added Cooke.
