SCAN Health Plan is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit Medicare Advantage plans with nearly 170,000 members in California. Part of the SCAN family, SCAN Health Plan is committed to keeping seniors healthy and independent. With perpetual changes taking place in healthcare and the ways people access information, SCAN must be able to quickly communicate these changes and provide a simplistic user experience.

And that’s where Rhythm enters the story.

Today, more people than ever are searching online to find information on prescription costs, doctors and health coverage. To better reach and service increasingly web-savvy audiences, SCAN selected Rhythm to revitalize their outdated online presence.

Working with Top Tier Consulting, Rhythm completely redesigned SCAN’s website to deliver an improved experience across all devices and platforms. SCAN’s new responsive website features a visually clean content structure to help visitors quickly compare plan coverage and look for local healthcare resources.

In an effort to ensure Health Care Compliance Association (HCAA) regulations and HIPAA compliance, Rhythm delivered a high-availability infrastructure that met OWASP TOP10 standards and passed two independent security audits. To further protect patient and member information, Rhythm integrated SCAN's internal IT system into the governance of a custom CRM; validating, cleansing and allowing rollback of member and plan details. We also carefully adhered to government Section 508 accessibility guidelines by delivering WCAG 2.0 “Level A” compliance without sacrificing the clean look of a new and modern website.

In addition to the new website, Rhythm also worked with SCAN on Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) and member service campaigns which included the design and development of emails and dedicated landing pages.
