How GE Proved That Size Doesn't Matter

iPhone Resposive Site

GE Energy Financial Services is General Electric's energy investing business. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, they help their customers and GE grow through new investments, strong partnerships and optimization of their approximately $20 billion portfolio. Rhythm was approached by GE Energy Financial Services' New York-based creative agency (and one of our branding partners), OTTO, to collaborate on a groundbreaking website redesign.

Needless to say, we found the project energizing (sorry, we couldn't help ourselves).

For this project, we were tasked with developing a fully responsive website that gives users the ability to access information on multiple screen sizes and devices. To optimize performance, we built the site from the ground up using CakePHP. To deliver the project on time and within budget we also created a unique data import process that allowed multiple content editors across three companies to collaborate using a shared spreadsheet.

So what was the result?

We delivered a fully responsive website that's accessible across all browsers, even dating back to older versions of IE. With the new site, visitors will have the same experience - regardless of electronic device - definitively proving that size doesn't matter.

And perhaps best of all, GE Energy Financial Services became one of General Electric's first divisions to have this responsive website technology, which to us was even more electrifying (sorry, again we couldn't help ourselves).
